What are the differences between a Maximum Limit plan and a Per Occurrence plan?

Medical Expenses are based on the individual events/occurrences. Each covered medical emergency "occurrence" and each possible recurrence related to the same medical emergency will be considered one same event/occurrence, covered up to the Per Occurrence Maximum as stated on the ID Card.

The amount purchased for Emergency Medical Expenses will be the total and maximum amount to be paid, independently of the number of events/occurrences during the whole trip
